Club of the Month November 2025: Scoil Ui Chonaill

Congratulations to Scoil Uí Chonaill on becoming the FODHC Club for November 2025!

Scoil Uí Chonaill celebrate their 75th Anniversary this year after being founded in O'Connells School, North Richmond Street in 1950. Scoil were credited with having 2 of their club members, Larry Shannon and Mick Bohan, as part of the last Dublin hurling team to contest an All Ireland final in 1961.

The club has gone from strength to strength and now has 30 teams catering to all those aged 3+ and up! The club manages and supports the North East Inner City Coaching Development Project and is the closest club to Croke Park.

Looking ahead to 2026, Scoil Uí Chonaill is delighted to have recently completed the purchase of their Clontarf Road grounds, which will give them the ability to expand and improve their facilities. This will give every child the opportunity to take part in our games, to grow and develop as a person and to be inspired to keep a lifelong engagement with the club and the GAA.
