Senior Hurling Team Report: 21st May 2025

Reflecting on last weekend’s game in Nowlan Park, Dublin senior Hurling manager Niall Ó Ceallacháin while expressing his disappointment with the outcome was quick to acknowledge that there were lots of positives to be taken from the performance.

Niall continued, “Lots of positives from the day also. For good periods of the game we hurled very well but as regards our goal concession we’ll be focussed on this in the weeks to come. All that said, there was a lot that went right on Sunday and we’ll continue to focus on these also”.

Moving on to next Sunday’s game against Galway in Parnell Park Niall said, “This is effectively a Leinster semi-final for us, if we win, we’re in a Leinster final so we’re very much looking forward to that. And we’re well used to playing Galway in Leinster championship at this stage, always close battles. We have huge respect for Galway and we’re looking forward to having them coming to us on Sunday with it all on the line”.

Niall continued, “Looking forward also to having great support for what will be a big day for Dublin hurling this Sunday. There’s a big prize at stake from this game and we’ll be ready for that”.
